Content: Subject 7, Day 1
It has unfortunately taken several days to procure a suitable new test subject down here. Capturing one in an early enough transitional phase without aggravating the rest is proving increasingly difficult. New subject will henceforth be known as Subject 7. Subject 7 is currently in a docile state, non-responsive to most stimuli. Appearance is akin to tall athletic human-like male, similar to earlier subjects. Subject 7 is currently placed in containment circle.
Subject 7, Day 4
First interaction between Subject 7 and a physical object. Interaction appeared momentary, with measuring needle moving 2.6 degrees on pass-through. Subsequent pass-throughs showed no interaction.
Subject 7, Day 9
Subject 7 has shown first signs of reacting to external environment. Several brief occurrences of non-docile moments recorded throughout the day. Subject 7 appeared confused and frustrated during these moments, before returning to a docile state.
Subject 7, Day 13
Subject 7 showed the first episode of aggression today. Episode lasted approximately 1 minute 12 seconds. Notable thrashing against containment wall during episode.
Subject 7 appeared to gravitate south-east during episode, indicating effects from countermeasures.
Subject 7, Day 24
Among of non-docile episodes have increased drastically. Subject 7 appears averages around 2 episodes per hour where it manages to interact with environment. Had one episode of aggression today. Countermeasures still appear to be affecting it, though Subject 7 shows notable attempts to counteract them.
Subject 7, Day 48
Subject 7 now spends extended periods in a non-docile state. Longest so today timed at 1 hour 33 minutes. Expecting full crossing within the next couple of days
Subject 7, Day 50
Subject 7 managed to breach containment circle. Managed to banish it back before it could escape. Will write more about the incident tomorrow. I need to clean up.
Subject 7, Day 51
As I've feared, the time needed for the specters to fully cross appears be decreasing. Subject 7 managed to damage one of the symbols in the containment circle during an extended period of aggression, destabilizing it and allowing it to escape. Luckily I was present and managed to banish it before it could escape.
I'm afraid that a shorter crossing-period equates to the quantity of specters crossing over will increase. Effects from countermeasures appeared to be less effective than previous Subjects, which seem to indicate that our current countermeasures are approaching their limit. I'll bring my findings to The Headmistress tomorrow. As I've yet to determine why the time-to-cross is decreasing, I can do little but recommend we strengthen our countermeasures again.
The reason behind these seemingly random events of aggression still eludes me. It may be possible that they're reacting to something on the other side, though I've currently no way of confirming this theory.
Day 63
My last few days have been less than fruitful. I believe the best way I can describe the headmistress' reaction to my findings would be "disinterested' or "lax". I must say I find this a bit uncharacteristic to how she usually reacts. Surely she must also be aware of this development even without my input? Perhaps I'm overthinking this, she might just stressed out by everything that's going on. I'll try to get an audience with Duchess Ravanelli tomorrow.
Day 80
My attempts to gain an audience with Duchess Ravanelli have proved even less fruitful my interactions with The Headmistress. Her illness have apparently gotten worse. All of my requests for an audience have been redirected Lord di Scillante. Like the The Headmistress, he seems disinterested in my plight.
Day 132
An enraged spirit almost managed to get through the ground floor of the Library today. The situation will soon get dire if nothing is done. I've decided to sneak into Ravanelli's estate and have a talk with her personally. Hopefully she'll understand and forgive my insolence.
<This entry does not have a date, or a day-number. The writing appears strained, and quickly deteriorated>
I HAVE LITTLE TIME. I GOT CAUGHT BY SOMETHING IN ESTATE. IT DID SOMETHING TO ME. I <there appears to have been an attempt at writing a few more sentences, tough the text is too ragged and strained to be readable>
<several pages of large jagged lines. Looking through the pages, you can make out a single word>
