+ The night sky above is forever adorned with the ethereal dance of the world's two larger moons - Seni and Luura. These celestial companions each bear the size of a grown man's splayed hand held at arms length when looking up at the night sky, with the distance between them being equal to their size when they're at their furthest apart. Tidally locked to one other, the two moons revolve around one another such that one eclipses the other every 5th night. It is from their cycle that the concepts of both months and weeks find their origin. The two moons wax and wane in sync, always equal when side by side, while taking turns casting a shadow over each other in their eternal dance. The beginning of each 30-day months is heralded by Seni's emergance from beneath the eclipse cast by Luura during its full phase, with a few single-day months sprinkled throughout the year to keep this relation in sync.

Seni has a smooth surface with gentle streaks and swirls of white and light-blue. Seni's light is often seen as tranquil and peaceful. The moon is also referred to as the Tranquil Moon, the Silver Moon, The Night White Lady, the Maiden of the Night Sky, The Cleansing Light, and The Guiding One. Some cultures associate Seni with a moon deity, whom often have name and titles similar to that of the moon itself. Seni is often associated with purity, cleansing, and healing. Curses and other afflictions are often easier to control, and old wounds are said to ache less, when under Seni's light.

Luura also has a mostly smooth surface, with streaks of mossy green of slightly different color gradients. Ccovering Luura's surface are also a series of deep cracks and chasms that give off an orange glow. Luura's light is often seen as intense, restless, and a bit unsettling. The moon is often referred to as the Cursed Moon, the Wild Moon, the Scarred Moon, the Night Hunter , The Eye of the Beast, the Predator in the Sky, and the Blood Moon.

+ The last name comes from the phenomenon that happens when Luura is full and fully eclipsing Seni, at which point the orange color of Luura's chasms spreads to encompass the entirety of Luura - giving it an orange glow. This often called Blood Moon occurs on the night between the 29th and 30th each month. Luura is often associated with ferocity, the dark bloody side of nature, and curses. Curses and other similar afflictions are often believed to be stronger when under Luura's light. Some cultures associate Luura with deities that represent the more wild and brutal sides of nature, with these deities often sharing titles with that of the moon itself.

The Twin Moons are seen as both complementing and counteracting one another. Where Seni soothes, Luura agitates. Seni shelters the hunted, Luura guides the hunter. Both moons are associated with the magical arts, each believed to enhance certain effects, with each nullifying the effects of the other. Therefore, while both are in full view in the night sky - both are believed to have no effect. When one is eclipsing the other, this nullifying aspect is believed to no longer be in effect, letting the eclipsing moon's influence take hold. Their effects are similarly believed to be stronger the fuller the moon is.
+Seni's light is believed to help aid magic that aims to soothe, heal, calm, or cure; while Luura's light is believed agitate and enrage, particularly when it comes to curses and other unwanted afflictions. Predatory beasts are believed to be more likely to attack wanders-by when Luura is eclipsing Seni, and similarly less likely to attack wanders-by when Seni is eclipsing Luura.
+Cursed beings, such as theriantropes, feel the two moons' influence rather well. Their curse often flares up when Luura is eclipsing Seni, and lessens while Seni is eclipsing Luura - both effects proportionate to how full the visible moon is. A theriantrope will have an easier time controlling the beast while Seni is eclipsing Luura, and a harder time when Luura is eclipsing Seni. When Seni is full and eclipsing Luura, the beast is almost completely dormant. When Luura is full and eclipsing Seni, there's almost no hope controlling the beast.
