+This book is a memorandum on the formation of a so called Concalian Containment Initiative - an organization meant to suppress - and hopefully eventually reverse - the curse that seem to be inflicted upon the Concalian ruin beneath Alatri. The initiative appears to have been jointly founded and funded by the Ravanelli family and the Meranzeum. The memorandum describes the Concalian Containment Initiative - a name which for the most part is shortened to Conc. Ini. - to publicly act as a general arcane research organization, meant to develop new and re-discover lost arcane knowledge to be used for the betterment of Marcandrian society. The more direct cause of its funding is, however, to remain secret - only to be known by the Ravanelli family and the most senior members of the Concalian Containment Initiative and the Meranzeum - as to prevent panic. The memorandum states that most of the Conc. Ini. will act like a general arcane research organization as if the actual containment initiative was not there, arguing that nothing that the most believable cover is something that does not act as a cover at all. However, the memorandum notes that the Concalian Containment Initiative will need to be called by a different name publicly, for obvious reasons.
+The initiative is described as being created as a new Department under the Meranzeum organization, with its official goals being “general magical research with the aim of using the arcane techniques developed and discovered here for the benefit of the Marcandrian people”. The memorandum again makes it clear that while this official goal is true, and will be part of the organization's endeavors, their primary responsibility will be suppressing and seeking ways to reverse to curse afflicting the Concalian ruins.
+The memorandum ends by describing the initial efforts and strategy of the Conc. Ini. The initiative appears to have been split into four general groupings, with one being responsible for suppressing the curse, while the other three goes down their own vertices looking for possible ways to reverse it. These initial efforts seem to be geared towards finding a way to attract or siphoning in the incorporeal creatures, grouping them into specific areas so that they can be handled more efficiently. No results are described regarding these initial efforts - the memorandum clearly states what the initial efforts were geared towards, then ends.
