This book look, to put it mildly, old. The pages are fragile, slightly brown, and quite worn down.

The book gives off a permeating feeling of worry, as with every new event described, the occurrences appear to become increasingly frequent and increasingly severe - with each occurrence describing more and more creatures appearing.
