+4 times per day, when an ally within 5ft of you is Hit by an Attack, you can spend one of your Hit Dice as part of your reaction to defend them. You and that ally swap places, as you lunge in between them and their attacker. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The enemy's attack is rerolled, this time targeting you instead of your ally. Your ally also gain temporary hit points equal to the amount rolled on the Hit Dice you spent.
This feature cannot be used if you do not have any unspent Hit Dice remaining.
