Requires Attunement

+

This small cylindrical slowly hums with an orange light. The crystal gives off bright light with a radius of 10ft, and dim light for an additional 10ft.

+

Whenever the wearer expends a spell slot to cast a spell or use a class-ability while attuned to this item, he/she may opt to use their Spell Attack Modifiers instead of their Melee or Ranged Weapon/Unarmed attack modifiers on their next Weapon/Unarmed attack made before the end of their next turn.

Attunement restrictions

+

Only a construct of Concalian design can attune to this item in it's raw form. In order for others to attune to the item, it must  be cast into a casing made by either a blacksmith or jewelsmith. This can take the form of a necklace, a  vambracer, etc.   The smith must be proficient in both their field of smithing, and in Arcana, and must succeed on both  a DC15 tools check and a DC15 Arcana check to successfully embed the crystal into the casing. Two people, one proficient in smithing, and one in Arcana, may work together and each make their respective check separately. The casing take a minimum of 2 full days of work to make, and requires a minimum of 50g in materials. Larger casings may require more time. Materials may not be re-used after a failed attempt, due to not being able to be re-forged into the needed precision to properly guide the crystal's magic.
