Tend to be of humble origin, or are people from the mid to high echelons whose felt the need to step back.
The Greenwardens revere The Heartmender, cherishing her teachings on agriculture, empathy, perseverance, growth, healing, hope, and life. Known throughout Marcandria as wise healers and counselors, they are committed to lives of simplicity and service, finding profound fulfillment in aiding others.
Believing that fulfillment comes from the act of giving, the Greenwardens hold that assistance should be offered freely, without expectation of reward. This ethos is evident in their commitment to providing medical aid and healing at no charge, especially to those unable to afford care. Withholding aid when capable of helping is anathema to them, reflecting a profound disdain for selfishness. By extending their support universally, they strive to embody Fiori's nurturing spirit, ensuring no one is deprived of care due to lack of wealth or status.
The Greenwardens advocate for relentless personal growth, viewing stagnation as contrary to The Heartmender's cycle of renewal and growth. They encourage everyone to strive toward self-betterment, not just for personal gain but as a moral duty to enhance the collective well-being. However, this pursuit often leads to an overly critical view of those who seem content with their current circumstances or those who prioritize stability, labeling them as lacking ambition or spiritual depth.
Living under the pressure to embody Fiori’s virtues perfectly, Greenwardens often feel compelled to present themselves as paragons of growth and resilience. While they aim to serve as beacons of hope, many internally struggle with doubt and personal setbacks. Admitting these difficulties is taboo, risking their spiritual authority and the hope they inspire. With The Heartmender's signs often subtle and open to interpretation, some Greenwardens use public perception of their deeds as a proxy for divine favor, equating their popularity with spiritual approval. Despite their firm belief in persevering through challenges for long-term benefits, they too face moments of seeming impossibility, just like everyone else.
The Greenwardens revere the Great Mother as a maternal figure who blesses the land with fertility and guides her followers with patience and wisdom. At life's end, they believe The Heartmender guides the soul to the afterlife, underscoring her role throughout life’s cycle.
The Greenwardens believe The Heartmender communicates through nature, particularly during rituals involving the planting of various seeds in common pots. They interpret Fiori’s will based on which seeds germinate and how they grow, reinforcing values of patience and contemplation. Beyond these rituals, they discern Fiori’s guidance through natural responses—observing which plants bloom or wilt during prayer to gage divine insights. This deep connection with nature serves as their primary medium for divine communication.
While prioritizing essential healing services, the Greenwardens also cultivate and sell quality-of-life remedies like skincare and vitality treatments to fund their operations. This practice, though profitable, sometimes diverts resources from basic care, posing a challenge in balancing lucrative endeavors with their mission of healing and nurturing. Struggles not to become addicted to the comforts and luxuries that can be afforded by the revenue from non-essential remedies are common among them.
Fiori's Tenants:
The Greenwardens are dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of Marcandrians, with the aspiration that every member of their community may thrive. Through their efforts, they not only seek to enhance the lives of others but also to find fulfillment in their own lives. As devotees of the Heartmender, their mission extends to expanding her worship and influence, and safeguarding the values She cherishes.
All endeavors of the Greenwardens aim to nurture and protect that which is dear to the Heartmender. Given that the Heartmender often receives less attention from the upper echelons of Marcandrian society—except by those who have directly benefited from the Greenwardens' healing and medical services—the Greenwardens are also committed to raising her profile and importance within these circles.
Each Greenwarden operates independently, without a central governing authority. However, when multiple Greenwardens share a temple or are located in temples close to each other, they often establish agreements regarding collaboration and responsibilities. In these cases, Greenwardens who cohabitate within the same temple typically maintain private sections for their personal endeavors, both in the temple and the gardens, while also cooperating in communal areas. They commonly delineate responsibilities and select specific remedies and ointments to specialize in, ensuring they do not compete with one another. They provide counsel to each other, leveraging diverse expertise to enhance the quality and efficacy of their services. Greenwardens tend to cooperate in the making of high-demand services and essential medicines—especially those provided free of charge as part of their commitment to the Heartmender’s teachings.
As each Greenwarden is considered a sovereign entity, there are no hierarchical ranks beyond the title of Greenwarden. Greenwardens may mentor one or more apprentices, who retain the title of apprentice as long as they remain under tutelage. The process of becoming an apprentice is straightforward and begins when a Greenwarden recognizes potential in an individual and extends an invitation to them. If accepted, the individual becomes an apprentice, learning under the guidance of the Greenwarden. The transition from apprentice to a recognized Greenwarden occurs when the individual leaves their mentor’s tutelage and establishes their own practice. This transition is based on community recognition of the apprentice’s skills and capabilities, affirming their readiness to operate independently. The traditions and practices of the Greenwardens are as such passed down from mentor to student, resulting in a diverse range of priorities and methods among them.
Greenwarden temples are typically more modest than those of the Joybringers or the Meranzeum, yet feature extensive gardens. It is common for several temples to exist within a single settlement, sometimes even sharing a large, communal garden. Temples are often established by noble families to attract Greenwardens, thereby enhancing the services available in their domain. Alternatively, Greenwardens might repurpose abandoned buildings, particularly those with ample space to cultivate their expansive gardens.
Financially, each Greenwarden is responsible for their own affairs, although those sharing a temple may arrange to manage finances collectively. Nobles and occasionally the Meranzeum provide funding for specific services, such as during health crises, recognizing the essential services Greenwardens provide to the community.
Ranks:
The most notable and impactful role of the Greenwardens within Marcandrian society is their function as healers and doctors. Those endowed with divine gifts use their abilities to heal and cure, though even these gifted individuals rely heavily on medicinal ointments and remedies prepared from plants cultivated in their temple gardens. These gardens are expansive, hosting a myriad of plant species used in various alchemical processes to create medicinal compounds. According to Greenwarden principles, essential medicines should be provided free of charge to all in need. Any Greenwarden found denying treatment for payment is ostracized by their peers and shunned by Marcandrian society at large. Any Greenwarden found denying treatment for payment is ostracized by their peers and shunned by Marcandrian society at large. However, producing these medicines is an ever-changing balancing act, as the Greenwarden must try predicting the need for an complexity involved in making each medicinal remedy. It's therefore not guaranteed that a Greenwarden will be able to provide you with a medicinal remedy, even if it's one they have the knowledge of making. This is particularly true for complex compounds with time consuming production methods, as the Greenwarden would have to trade making that remedy for you against making a compound for others in need.
In addition to essential medicines, Greenwardens cultivate plants for non-essential remedies like skin treatments, vitality tonics, sleep aids, and pain relievers. These are developed and sold to fund their operations and cover costs for materials they cannot produce, such as beeswax, animal fats, alcohol, salts, and clay, as well as basic necessities like food and clothing. The production of these non-essential remedies often competes with the creation of medicinal ones, creating a challenging balance as Greenwardens strive to fulfill their healing mission without succumbing to the temptation of unnecessary luxuries.
Greenwardens are also committed to continuous research in herbalism and medicine, constantly seeking new or improved remedies through study, mentorship, and experimentation. They access texts from the Meranzeum’s archives, learn from fellow Greenwardens, or innovate through trials with new plant combinations and alchemical techniques.
Actively involved in agriculture and nature conservation, Greenwardens are invaluable to Marcandrian farmers facing crop or livestock issues. They offer guidance on crop rotations, companion planting with natural pest repellents like garlic or marigolds, and other sustainable farming practices. Their expertise comes from a mix of teachings and experience, together with the guidance they discern from the Heartmender in the crops and animals. Greenwardens will pray and perform rituals in the fields shortly after sowing, beseeching the Heartmender for healthy growth and a bountiful harvest. Greenwardens also serve as counselors, offering advice and wisdom to small communities, particularly those less fortunate.
Greenwardens advocate for environmental stewardship, opposing practices that harm or exploit the land. They lobby and preach against excessive logging without replanting and other destructive activities, with their unrelenting nagging and complaining often being exceptionally annoying to those involved in such endeavors. Still, one would have to go rather far in one's overexploitation of nature before a Greenwarden would intervene forcefully. Greenwardens will often task themselves with cleaning up waterways, planting saplings, and restoring natural habitats in the region they operate.
The Greenwardens also do ritual services, such as wedding and funeral ceremonies, either on their own or in collaboration with Marcandria's other two major clergies. Wedding ceremonies involving only the Greenwardens are typically seen as a “poor man's wedding”, mostly utilized by the lower classes, who cannot afford the added extravagance that comes with involving the Joybringers or the Meranzeum. Those without money at hand to afford such extravagance thus turns to the Greenwardens for a cheaper and more modest wedding ceremony. A tradition for weddings involving the Greenwardens is for the newly wedded couple to spend their first night together in either a crop field or flower field, a tradition which is more commonly followed by lower class newlyweds than upper class ones. It is believed that the Heartmender will bless the newlyweds with a fertile union as they spend the first night in the field. Greenwardens also participate in funeral services, as the Heartmender is typically seen as theone who'll come for you at the end of your life's cycle, to guide you to the afterlife.
Greenwardens spend a noticeable amount of their time praying and meditating in fields or in their lush gardens, where they attempt to deepen their bond with the Heartmender and look for signs of guidance. Greenwardens believe Fiori communes through crops and flowers, with plants and flowers either blooming or drooping in response to their prayers and meditation. The Greenwardens believe the Heartmender's guidance can be discerned based on which plants bloom or droop around them as they pray and meditate. How good they are at deciphering this puzzle is often equated to how deep their bond is with the Heartmender.
The Greenwardens also conduct rituals of prayer involving planting a number of different seeds in the same pot, often together with someone whose come to them seeking the Heartemender's guidance. The person will pray for guidance on a specific topic, planting the seeds as they do so. The Greenwarden will then tend to the pot, waiting for seeds to sprout. The Heartmender's guidance is then discerned based on which seeds germinated, and the growth pattern of each seed that did. This method of communication is thus rather slow, and is believed to be the Heartmender's way of reinforcing the patience and contemplation she preaches in her followers. it is believed that this method will make people contemplate on how to solve their problems on their own first, only resulting in utilizing this ritual if they find her guidance worth the wait on this particular question.
Greenwardens often identify potential apprentices through their interactions, inviting those who show promise to learn their ways. The Greenwarden will teach the apprentice about the Heartmender, the different rituals and ceremonies the Greenwardens conduct, how to look for and discern Her guidance in the plants around one, how to cultivate different medicinal plants, and the processes they go through to turn raw materials into medicinal compounds. An apprentice will often remain with their mentor for a time even after they've been taught everything there is to know, assisting their mentor's endeavors. After an apprenticeship, when an individual is ready to operate independently, they leave to establish their own practice, often seeking small rural communities that lack a Greenwarden's presence.
The Greenwardens are renowned within Marcandrian society primarily for their roles as healers and doctors. Those with divine gifts use their abilities to heal and cure, supplemented by medicinal ointments and remedies derived from the extensive variety of plants cultivated in their temple gardens. These gardens, vital to their practice, allow Greenwardens to create complex medicinal compounds through detailed alchemical processes. Adhering strictly to their principles, Greenwardens provide these essential medicines free of charge, maintaining that access to healthcare should never depend on financial means. Any Greenwarden found demanding payment for such services faces ostracization, underscoring their commitment to egalitarian care.
However, producing these medicines involves a constant juggle of resources, especially when complex treatments are necessary. Such decisions often mean prioritizing which patients receive immediate care based on the available remedies, a reality that sometimes limits their ability to help everyone equally.
Beyond their healing services, Greenwardens also develop non-essential remedies like skin treatments, vitality tonics, sleep aids, and pain relievers. These products, while not crucial for survival, are sold to fund the broader scope of their mission, covering expenses for necessary items they cannot produce themselves, such as beeswax, animal fats, and various salts, as well as for their basic living costs. Balancing the production of these goods with essential medicines presents a moral challenge, as commercial success can tempt them away from their foundational commitment to provide free medicinal care.
The Greenwardens' expertise is not limited to healthcare. They are deeply involved in agriculture and environmental stewardship, providing invaluable guidance to local farmers on sustainable practices and crop management. This includes advising on crop rotations, using natural pest repellents, and dealing with agricultural diseases. Their holistic approach extends to environmental advocacy, where they oppose exploitative practices and work towards the restoration of natural habitats.
In terms of community engagement, Greenwardens are pivotal in conducting ceremonies such as weddings and funerals, particularly for those who cannot afford the more elaborate services provided by other clergies. These occasions are marked by simplicity and a deep connection to nature, reflecting the Greenwardens' fundamental values.
Substantial time is also devoted to spiritual practices. Greenwardens frequently engage in meditation and prayer within their gardens or amidst nature, seeking signs from the Heartmender through the responses of plants to their spiritual practices. This intimate communion with nature is central to their belief system.
Additionally, the ritual of planting seeds alongside those seeking guidance is a significant aspect of their spiritual methodology. This practice, which involves interpreting the growth patterns of various seeds to discern divine messages, underscores the values of patience and reflection that the Heartmender espouses.
As for recruitment, Greenwardens are always on the lookout for potential apprentices. They invite individuals who demonstrate a promising affinity for their way of life to join them, teaching them everything from botanical knowledge to spiritual rituals. After their formal training, apprentices often stay to assist their mentors before setting out to establish their own practices, typically in underserved areas.
This comprehensive approach to their operations ensures that the Greenwardens not only provide critical services but also foster a deep, enduring impact on Marcandrian society, guided by the principles of growth, healing, and stewardship imparted by the Heartmender.
The most noticeable, and perhaps most impactful, of the Greenwardens' endeavors is their role as healers and doctors within Marcandrian society. Those with divine gifts will utilize their magic to heal and cure. Though, even for those with divine gifts, most healing and curing services they provide is done with the help of medicinal ointments and remedies, which they make utilizing the plants they grow in their temple gardens. These gardens thus tend to be rather extensive, with a myriad of different plant species whose leaves, petals, stems, or roots they run through various alchemical processes to turn into medicinal compounds. Such essential medicines are by the Greenwardens' creed to be given for free to all who are in need of them. A Greenwarden who is found to have denied giving medicinal treatment on the grounds of demanding payment will find themselves shunned forevermore by their peers, and most probably also by Marcandrian society at large. Creating these medicines are nonetheless a careful balance between what types of medicines they have at hand. A serious illness might require complicated remedies that are very expensive and time consuming to make, putting the Greenwarden in a position where, if they make such remedies for those who need something that potent, then they may have to turn away a larger number of those who could be cured with simpler remedies, simply due to not having the capacity to make both. It is thus not impossible for someone to come to a Greenwarden with an ailment which they theoretically could help with, but where they simply do not have the capacity to make it for you due to other demands.
Greenwardens will also cultivate plants which they use to make non-essential remedies, such as skin treatments, vitality tonics, sleep aids, and pain relievers. Greenwardens develop and sell these as a way to fund their endeavors, to pay for tools and compounds which they can't grow in their gardens, such as beeswax, animal fats, alchocols, salts, and clay, as well as to fund their own basic necessities, such as food and clothes. The making of these non-essential, paid for, remedies always cuts into a Greewardens capacity to make their free medicinal remedies, though without these funds they'd be unable to operate at all. It can often be difficult for a Greenwarden to know just how to balance the cultivation and development of paid for non-essential remedies versus free medicinal ones. This is also because it can be hard not to rake in just a little more funds than they'd technically need, allowing them to afford some not strictly necessary luxuries. Despite the Greenwardens typically saying they want a simpler life than what typical Marcandrians are after, they are still Marcandrians, and can find it hard to say no when presented with the opportunity of attaining some luxuries.
Greenwardens tend to conduct continuous study and research potential new in the fields of herbalism and medicine, in order to either come up with new or improve existing remedies. This includes studying texts they come across on the subject matter, often gotten from the Meranzeum's archives, learning from another Greenwarden, or through experimenting with new plants, tweaking alchemical processes, or by tweaking or testing out new compounds.
Just like the Heartmender herself, the Greenwardens are very involved when it comes to nature and agriculture in Marcandria. Many Greenwardens have extensive knowledge in the field of agriculture, both from knowledge passed down by their mentor and through experience by helping out farmers. When farmers are having issues with their crops or livestock, they generally turn to the Greenwardens for help. Issues could include their fields being full of parasites, or their crops or farm animals having contracted some kind of sickness. A Greenwarden will pull from their knowledge and experience, look for signs from the Heartmender in the crops and animals, and pray to the Heartmender for guidance in order to come up with the best possible solution for dealing with the issue. Greenwardens often assist farmers in implementing preventative measures to prevent issues with crops, such as guidance on crop rotations, fallowing, or companion planting crops with natural pest-repellents such as garlic or marigolds. Greenwardens also often end up doing counseling for other citizens, typically from the lower castes of society, who come to them seeking a wise ear. While people may come with them looking for advice on topics that are outside the Greenwarden's area of expertise, a Greenwarden will typically use their wordly knowledge to come up with as best advice as they can. Greenwardens can thus end up as a sort of wise-man or woman for small rural communities.
Greenwardens care deeply about the wellbeing of nature, as they see it as the Heartemender's gift. They therefore oppose actions that they deem harmful or unnecessarily harsh on the land. Farming practices where its attempted to exploit the land to the point of turning it barren, or excessive logging without reforesting. They will actively seek to lobby against such actions by convincing those with whom they have influence to oppose it with them. Those operating such endeavors can find the Greenwardens unrelenting nagging and complaining exceptionally annoying. Still, a person would have to go rather far with their overexploitation of nature before the Greenwardens would attempt to intervene forcefully. A Greenwarden will often take on a role of environmental steward in the area where they operate. These endeavors include cleaning up waterways, planting saplings, and restoring natural habitat.
The Greenwardens also do ritual services, such as wedding and funeral ceremonies, either on their own or in collaboration with Marcandria's other two major clergies. The Greenwardens will take note of any individuals they encounter that show potential and the right mindset for becoming a Greenwarden, and will invite them to become an apprentice under their tutelage. The Greenwarden will teach the apprentice about the Heartmender, the different rituals and ceremonies the Greenwardens conduct, how to look for and discern Her guidance in the plants around one, and how to cultivate different medicinal plants, and the processes they go through to turn raw materials into medicinal remedies. An apprentice will typically stay with the mentoring Greenwarden for a while after they've learnt everything, operating the garden together with them, conducting rituals and ceremonies together with them, and working together on experiments for new and improved remedies. The apprentice will at some point in this phase decide it's time set up shop on their own, at which point they become a full Greenwarden. Many will look for small rural communities lacking a Greenwarden's presence when looking for a place to settle, while others may opt for more urban environments where they deep the Greenwardens do not have sufficient presence.

Additionally, Greenwardens conduct ceremonial services such as weddings and funerals, particularly for those unable to afford more lavish ceremonies. These services often incorporate rituals believed to bring blessings from Fiori, like spending a wedding night in a field to encourage a fruitful union.
Dedicated to deepening their connection with Fiori, Greenwardens spend considerable time in prayer and meditation within nature, seeking signs and guidance through the responses of plants to their presence. This practice underscores their belief in Fiori’s communication through the natural world.
Lastly, Greenwardens perform specialized rituals for those seeking direct guidance from Fiori. This involves planting seeds while praying for insight, with the germination and growth patterns providing divine messages. This slow and contemplative method reflects Fiori’s values of patience and deliberation, encouraging individuals to seek internal solutions before turning to divine intervention.
The Greenwardens serve as key healers and herbalists within Marcandrian society, utilizing both divine magic and extensive knowledge of medicinal herbs to treat ailments. Their healing extends beyond simple remedies; they harness a broad spectrum of plants grown in expansive temple gardens, processed into essential medicines. These medicines are distributed freely, reflecting their creed that healthcare should not be commodified. Any Greenwarden who withholds necessary treatment for payment risks ostracism by their peers and society, highlighting their commitment to accessibility and ethical practice.
In managing their resources, Greenwardens face the challenge of balancing the production of costly, complex treatments with simpler, more widely needed remedies. This delicate equilibrium affects their capacity to treat varying degrees of illness, sometimes forcing tough decisions about whom they can immediately help based on the treatments available.
To support their operations, Greenwardens also produce and sell non-essential remedies, such as skin treatments, vitality tonics, sleep aids, and pain relievers. The proceeds fund not only their essential medicinal practices but also the purchase of necessary non-plant materials like beeswax and salts. This commercial aspect, while vital for their sustainability, is carefully balanced with their primary mission of providing free medical care.
Greenwardens are continuous learners and innovators in the field of herbal medicine, dedicating time to research and development to improve or discover new treatments. They study historical texts, collaborate with peers, and experiment with new herbal combinations and alchemical techniques, ensuring their practices are both traditional and innovative.
Their expertise extends to agriculture, where they assist local farmers with crop management and disease prevention. Greenwardens advise on sustainable practices such as crop rotation and natural pest repellents, and intervene during agricultural crises by interpreting signs from nature and seeking divine guidance through prayer and observation.
As stewards of the environment, Greenwardens oppose practices they deem harmful to nature, such as overexploitation of land and irresponsible logging. They actively campaign against these practices, leveraging their influence to promote more sustainable approaches.
Greenwardens also provide essential community services, including officiating at weddings and funerals for those unable to afford more lavish ceremonies. These events are characterized by their simplicity and the deep spiritual connection they foster with nature, often involving rituals that connect participants more closely with the land.
Significant time is also spent in meditation and prayer, particularly in their gardens or amidst nature, seeking to deepen their connection with the Heartmender and to interpret her will through the behavior of plants around them.
The apprenticeship within the Greenwardens is a critical pathway for knowledge transfer. Apprentices are selected based on potential and willingness to embrace the Greenwarden lifestyle and are immersed in learning about medicinal plants, herbal remedies, and the spiritual practices that define their role. After completing their training, apprentices typically remain with their mentors for a period, contributing to ongoing projects and gaining practical experience before establishing their own practice. This period is crucial for reinforcing their skills and understanding of their responsibilities as future Greenwardens.
Each Greenwarden, whether a mentor or an apprentice, is considered autonomous within the broader community, with collaborations and shared endeavors arising organically based on mutual interests and geographical proximity. This decentralized structure ensures that each Greenwarden is both a learner and a teacher, continuously evolving in their practice while contributing to the collective wisdom of their community.

(Communicating with the Heartmender, and attempting to deepen their bond with her and her domain, i.e. nature etc.)
Spiritual Practices: Generally trying to get closer to Fiori's ideal. Regular meditation, prayer, and rituals in their gardens or in nature would be central to a Greenwarden’s life. These practices help them connect more deeply with Fiori and seek her guidance, fostering spiritual growth and insight.
(The taking on off apprentices. Apprentices then moving to their own area, often looking for rural areas missing the Greenweardens' presence, to settle down in themselves)
The Greenwardens are well known for opposing actions that unnecessarily harm the land, such as excessive logging or farming to the point where the land is unable to recover.
Greenwardens too fractured to have any real influence. Connection people have with the Greenwardens tend to be more on an individual level. Specific Greenwardens may be very well liked in a community, mostly with farmers, lower cast people, and those who have needed their aid. However, since each Greenwarden basically only has the authority of themselves, plus whoever likes them enough to support their stance, they tend to have very little impact on Marcandrian politics etc. The very nature of how the Greenwardens operate is counterproductive to gaining influence in society.
No faction-wide influence since there are no structure in it. What influence the Greenwardens have is instead based on what influence each has as an individual. Greenwardens are often well respected among the communities they serve, which typically mean the those of the lower castes. They often end up in the role of speaking on behalf of small rural communities, voicing their concerns to the local lord or other governing entity. Multiple Greenwardens may decide to work together to increase how much sway they have in a matter both deem important, though never in Marcandrian history have enough Greenwardens pooled together to have a significant influence on the nationwide scale. Should that ever happen though, where they'd all band together and speak with one voice, then they'd have a substantial influence due the sheer amount of peasant and rural inhabitants they'd have at their back.
The Greenwardens have very good relations with the common people of Marcandria, particularly those who live outside the major settlements. They often have trouble getting respect from the upper classes of Marcandria, who have a different view on life than that of the Greenwardens. Most other factions aligned with the Marcandrian state respect the Greenwardens, but often note that the lifestyle of the Greenwardens are "not for them". The relationship between Greenwardens and merchants or nobles can be quite strained if the merchant or noble deals in industry that harms nature or endangers people. Examples of these are major deforestations, dangerous mining operations, over-hunting, and so on.
Most underground factions, such as black markets or smugglers, have little against the Greenwardens. However, Greenwardens view themselves as enemies of factions that create death or suffering.
Due to not having a centralized leadership, the Greenwardens have little direct influence on the conflict. Their power instead comes indirectly from potentially being able to influence the opinions of the common citizens, potentially acting as a sort of representative for small communities, which could potentially force a noble in a territory to switch stance on the conflict.
The general viewpoint of the Greenwardens is that the whole ordeal should be resolved quickly and peacefully, and that the nobility should stop redirecting such a huge amount of resources towards this conflict. Instead, they say these resources should be directed to restoring the safety and stability within these nobles' lands.
The succession conflict has thus started to create a schism between the Greenwardens and the different noble families, that continues to widen as the schism widens.
